This book is my favorite King novel ever, followed closely by 2)Needful Things and 3)The Talisman. Love it!

Review for The Dark Tower

by William Barnett.

This review has been rated 8 (by 1 users).
I have been a Stephen King fan ever since I read Cujo while supposedly studying for a 7th grade mid-term (some number of years ago). But for some reason, I never bothered with The Dark Tower. A couple months ago I decided to give it a try and never put it down until I finished. I am also a Harry Potter fan (of the books, not the movies). As entertaining as HP was, the quality of SK's character development is so much better. I developed a "knowledge" of each of the characters in Dark Tower to the point I could hear their voices, sarcasm, etc. I began to empathize. I was more than reading, I was experiencing. And, of course, I was amazed, angry, impressed, and left wondering at the ending. I probably will feel all of those forever. Hands-down, the best I have ever read!

Review for The Shining

by leonardo.

This review has been rated 10 (by 2 users).
I read this book like a year ago. The begining was great and King actually lets you know the chracter's background and makes a really good psychological profile of each of them.
The book gets boring when they start living in the Hotel, but then it gets better and better and better.
It is very creepy and I was very anxious to see what would happen with jack, wendy and dani. He handles the psychological state of the characters in an excellent way.
I give it a 8.5

Review for The Stand

I can't say I'm a hughe fan of Sthephen King, because I've only read two of his books (the stand and the shining) and I have two more books by him (IT and a bag of bones) that I'm gonna read after I finish the book I'm reading right now.
I'm 15 years old and I love to read. A year ago I was looking for a great book and I bought The Shining, but I also wanted to buy The Stand. I've got to say that I wasn't pretty sure about buying it because it was pretty long and I thought it would get boring at some point. Well, this christmas my grandmother bought it to me as a gift and I've got to say I loved it.
The begining is the best part of the book, when people is dying because of the disease, but I've got to say, the second part (the battle beetween good and evil) is awesome. The characters are very realistic and they are not robots who are just thinking about fighting, no, they have feelings and there are many love stories in the book. I fell in love with the characters right the way (specially with Frannie) and I was sad to finish the book. I think the length of the book is a good thing, cause you are really into the story and you can't get enough of those loveable characters... I give it a 9.
